Online Booking & Appointment Reminders

The problem

A barbershop was paying for a subscription booking app. It worked, but it wasn’t built for how the shop runs. It was simply the best of the bad options.

So Hugo Greene is building one that fits.

Instead of bending the shop around someone else’s software, Hugo Greene is building a booking tool around the shop’s own must-haves, using AI-assisted development with a review step on every piece.

A paper appointment book with missed calls turns into an online week calendar for Northside Barber Co. A customer gets a reminder text, replies C, and the appointment changes from pending to confirmed.

The intended workflow: from a paper book to an online week, with each visit confirmed by text.

How it works

It is designed around three must-haves the shop named:

  1. Three customers can book the same 15-minute slot, one for each barber.

  2. Bookings stay in sync across every device in the shop.

  3. Every reminder text lets the customer confirm or cancel with a single reply.

How we built it

Nick Greene is directing development with AI agents doing the building and a review step on every task. The day and week calendar views are built and tested on sample data. Online booking and text reminders through Telnyx, with replies that update each appointment’s status, are the next phase.

Nick’s role

Built by Hugo Greene. Nick Greene, Applied AI Builder & Implementation Specialist, leads requirements, workflow design, AI-assisted development with Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, review and testing.
