A Sales Tool That Builds Trust First

Give people something valuable before asking for their business.

Hugo Greene built the Website Visibility Check as a practical demonstration of this approach. Visitors receive a free website assessment without surrendering their email address. The report gives them useful information and a reason to consider working with us.

A website score builds to 7 out of 10 as findings appear: three checks pass and two need attention.

See It Work

The Website Visibility Check

A tool we built, pointed at your business. Enter your website and get a straight score out of 10, plus everything that may be costing you customers, in about 30 seconds.

The problem

Asking visitors for contact details before providing anything useful creates a barrier. Prospective customers have to decide whether to trust the business before they have experienced its expertise.

How it works

  1. A visitor enters a website address and receives a score out of 10 with a plain-language assessment. They can use the information independently or choose to contact Hugo Greene for a deeper review and implementation.

  2. The tool connects a relevant business problem with an immediate, useful response. It demonstrates our approach before a sales conversation begins.

  3. For other companies, that same model could take the form of an assessment, calculator, comparison, or planning tool built around the questions their customers already ask.

How we built it

  • The check reads the homepage you enter and runs 17 checks. They cover search basics (title, description, structured business data, indexing), phone readiness, a secure connection, a tappable phone number, a clear next step, link previews, social links, a tab icon, one main headline, image descriptions, signs of a dated site, and page weight.

  • The score out of 10 comes from fixed, weighted rules calibrated on local business sites, not from AI. AI writes only the one-line summary, from the findings, and a fixed template takes over if it is slow.

  • It does not look at other pages, reviews, business listings or search rankings, and page speed is estimated from page weight rather than measured.

  • A human-verification step keeps bots out, and results usually come back in under 30 seconds.

Nick’s role

Built by Hugo Greene. Nick Greene, Applied AI Builder & Implementation Specialist, defined the checks and scoring, and led AI-assisted development with Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, review, testing and deployment.
